Court Ordered Community Service

Have you been referred to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank by a judge or probation officer to do court-ordered or lawyer recommended community service hours? The Court Ordered Community Service Program has many options for scheduling; once an application has been accepted, the Operations Volunteer Coordinator will set up an orientation with you to review the Handbook, Agreement, and your schedule. (MUST attend for one hour, the hour will count as a part of your community service.)

Please Note: If you are being charged with, pleading guilty to, or are/have been previously found guilty of any of the following offences, you will not be accepted into the Community Service Program at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. To ensure a safe environment for all Food Bank staff, volunteers, and clients, certain safeguards must be put in place regarding court-ordered community service.

  • Aggravated/Domestic Assault
  • Battery
  • Kidnapping/Abduction
  • Sexual Abuse/Assault
  • Domestic Violence/Assault
  • Rape
  • Murder

How to Apply

You Can:

  1. Come to the NEIFB Main Office at 16015 Lafayette Street Waterloo, Iowa, and complete an application form. We can approve or deny the date of the completed application. Orientation will be scheduled within 48 hours of that date.
  1. Download and print the application here. You must return this completed physical application in person to the NEIFB Main Office.
