As of June 2025, food banks across the country are expressing deep concern over proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a critical lifeline for millions of Americans. The bill, now under consideration in the U.S. Senate, would significantly weaken the program and increase strain on already overburdened food banks.
